The
zodiacal sign of Leo commences on July 21st, but for seven days,
being overlapped by the "cusp" of the previous sign, it
does not come into full power until on or about July 28th. From
this date onwards it is in full strength until August 20th and then for
seven days gradually loses its strength on account of being overlapped by the "cusp"
of the incoming sign "Virgo". Represented
by the lion, king of the jungle, Leos must be in control of their
lives at all times. These people represent what might be termed
the heart force of humanity. They are over flowing with sympathy
and are generally generous to a fault. They are themselves exceptionally
truthful and honest but they often get terribly deceived and have
a tendency in the end to become bitter, severe and over-critical.
They usually have large ambition, their aim is to get above the
common herd of humanity. They have the power to inspire others and
they can lead their men through fire or death. They have an extremely
independent spirit. They detest control or being dictated to. They
have great tenacity of purpose and will power and if once they put
their mind on some plan, purpose
or position, they usually reach their goal in spite of any difficulty
or obstacle. They make enemies by their frankness of speech and their
hatred of anything underhand. They do not like working for others
and everything they do must have their personal stamp. But Leo can
also represent one of the most generous and magnanimous signs of the zodiac,
capable of being wonderful hosts and hostesses. In addition to being
constructive and inventive, Leos are good organisers, directors and
'ideas men' who leave the detailed and technical works to others.
They radiate warmth, affection, kindness and a strong personal magnetism
which makes them extremely popular. They enjoy being admired and praised
for their accomplishments and desperately need the approval of others.
Difficult aspects make them too demanding, too authoritative and too
egoistic to concern themselves with the needs and opinions of others.
LOVE
LIFE
They crave for love and this is one thing they seldom get. They
are keenly attracted to other strong personalities. Their exaggerated
faith in human nature is their stumbling block in love and friendship,
leading to many tragedies, heart breaks and estrangements.
MATERIAL
SUCCESS
They are usually lucky in money matters. Their financial prospects
are hopeful and are likely to gain through superiors and persons
older than themselves. It promises success in any legitimate business
they go in for.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
The crimes attributable
to Leos are those including gambling and speculation, a major blow
to pride and self-respect, any obstacle in love, jealousy of artists
and actors, a struggle for power in higher circles and so on. Usually
crimes on a grand scale like a rampaging Lion.
